Maintaining your home can be a struggle, there always seems to be something! When you don’t have the tools, the time or the ‘know how’, it’s then often a struggle to actually get someone who can help you to take an interest, particularly for the smaller jobs. It sometimes seems that some trades just aren’t interested in anything short of a multiple thousand pound job.

That’s where Fix and Build can help. As a veteran of multiple house renovations over the past 20 years, I have a broad range of skills that can help you maintain and improve your home.

Every job is carried with the same care I would for my own home. It’s an ethos that is important to me, because I understand that it’s not just bricks and mortar, it’s your home, and your home should be your sanctuary and not a source of stress or frustration.

I am also a strong believer in reducing environmental impact wherever possible.  Where appropriate, I will suggest alternatives to the typical approach of replacement and can advise on solutions that re-use or recycle, and therefore reduce waste.  Although often more labour intensive, it can often be the cheaper alternative if it significantly reduces new material costs.

However, regardless of the direction you wish to take, I will endeavour to source the cheapest price for the appropriate materials for the job, and never profit from them, which is not always the case.
